Buddha Birthday

This is probably the most gratifying piece of art I have done yet. I've never really done full paintings just for myself. When I look at it I can instantly get taken back to the moment I was sitting in a furniture museum in Seoul drinking tea and eating traditional snacks. I really feel that was the moment I just started letting the trip use me up (in a positive way) without my expectations getting in the way. Just letting life flow around and through me. That's something I have really tried hard to take forward but the further I get from this point the harder it is to take that lesson into everyday life. I hope I can fully get back to this state of being one day.

This painting was originally for a personal project that I can't see being completed anytime soon. So it may just be a one off now. Thanks to the Nathen Fowkes schoolism class for helping me to finish this already.
